Pastor Glenn Gilpin – Preaching/Teaching Pastor

Our Preaching Pastor, Glenn Gilpin, was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming and has spent most his life in the Rocky Mountain region. He was raised in a Christ-centered and Bible-believing home, where he came to know Jesus as his Savior and Lord as a child. Since that time he has had a great love for God's Word--the Bible. His life objective is to know God’s Word and teach its truths to others.

Pastor Glenn attended the University of Wyoming, receiving a B.S. degree in Mathematics. While there he was involved with a campus disciple-making organization where he learned more about how to walk with God and a still-greater love for the Bible. He later attended Denver Seminary where he was granted an MA in Systematic Theology.

Pastor Glenn has been happily married to Cathy since 1982, and they have a daughter Amber. He has been in full-time ministry for 15 years--a pastor for 12 of those. Before coming to Village he served small churches in Wyoming and Southern Colorado. He has spent time on staff with a disciple-making college student ministry and four summers in short-term missions. In addition, he has worked as a surveyor and mechanical draftsman.

His hobbies outside of family and church include hiking, cross-country skiing, swimming and biking. He is an avid bowler.

Pastor Wes Pavy – Christian Ed/Administrative Pastor

Our Counseling, Administration and Christian Education Pastor, Wes Pavy, came on staff in December of 2000 following two years as Chairman of our Deacon Board and 10 years as a member of Village. Born in Iowa, Pastor Wes spent most of his life between California and Colorado moving with his family as his father pastored multiple churches in both states.

Pastor Wes graduated from Southwestern Baptist Bible College in 1976, receiving a BS degree in Christian Education. While in college he was a student assistant, teaching PE classes and coaching various athletic teams. After eight years of ministry in three churches, Pastor Wes attended Denver Seminary receiving a Masters degree in Counseling in 1987.

Following seminary, Pastor Wes spent almost 12 years as a Psychiatric and Addiction counselor at West Pines Psychiatric Hospital. While at West Pines he served as Program Manager for the Addiction and Psychiatric Treatment Centers and then as Operation Manager for West Pines.

Pastor Wes and his wife Sherrill have six children and three grandchildren that dominate much of their spare moments. Pastor Wes enjoys all active team sports, but over the last few years golf has become his passion.
